| Day 1 | Leaving London behind, we travel to Stratford-upon-Avon, the half-timbered market town where William Shakespeare was born in 1564. A guided visit takes in his restored birthplace on Henley Street before we walk out to the thatched Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the childhood home of the playwright's wife, surrounded by classic English cottage gardens. |

| Day 2 | A scenic drive north brings us into Yorkshire, home to the Brontë family and the windswept moorland that inspired their novels. We settle into our accommodation ready to explore "Brontë Country" properly the following day, with an evening free to enjoy a traditional Yorkshire dinner. |
| Day 3 | A guided walk across the moors above Haworth leads to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the atmospheric former home where Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë wrote their most famous works. In the afternoon we explore the historic city of York, walking its medieval walls and the narrow, timber-framed Shambles before free time to browse its independent bookshops. |
| Day 4 | Today's journey takes us into the Lake District, the landscape of fells and glassy lakes that inspired William Wordsworth and the wider Romantic poetry movement. As we wind through the valleys, your guide points out the dramatic scenery that has drawn writers and artists here for over two centuries. |
| Day 5 | We visit Dove Cottage, William Wordsworth's atmospheric former home where many of his best-loved poems were written, before continuing to Hill Top, the 17th-century farmhouse where Beatrix Potter created Peter Rabbit and his friends. The afternoon ends with a relaxing cruise on Lake Windermere, England's largest natural lake. |
| Day 6 | A final, unhurried morning in the Lake District gives you time for a last lakeside walk or a visit to a local bookshop before we begin the journey back to London, arriving in the early evening. |
